All Day May 8, proceeds from your purchases at McDonald’s will be allocated towards purchasing a portable Fetal Monitoring Device for the Taber Health Centre.
The Taber Health Center is delivering more babies than ever. These upgraded fetal monitoring systems enable Labour and Delivery staff to safely and accurately monitor the baby and mom's well-being before and during labour while also ensuring the comfort of the mom as she can move around the room while monitoring is taking place. The transducers are also waterproof, which fits nicely for the patient who wants to labour and/or deliver in our water delivery tub. Being that the device is portable it can also be used wherever it is needed such as Labour and Delivery, ER, or the Operating Room.

It also allows them to have the ability to enjoy a shower vs a tub bath. The chair is easy to clean, comfortable for the resident, user-friendly and ergonomically safe.
Taber Dairy Queen is located at 6050 46 Ave. We look forward to seeing you there!
2023 Fall Pledge Drive: Transforming Bathrooms for Independence and Greatest Needs at the Taber Health Center.
The Taber & District Health Foundation’s Annual Campaign is scheduled to run from October 10 – October 14, 2023. The focus this year is on a project that touches the lives of our beloved seniors residing at Pioneer Place Manor.
We all have family members and friends who have gracefully aged, and we know how crucial it is to ensure their comfort, safety, and independence. However, imagine the daily challenges faced by seniors who no longer have easy access to a bathtub. Simple tasks like bathing, which many of us take for granted, become significant hurdles for them.
This year, at Taber & District Health Foundation, we have set an ambitious goal to raise funds for a project that will have a profound impact on the lives of these seniors. We aim to renovate 15 existing bathtubs at Pioneer Place Manor, transforming them into accessible showers. This transformation will not only provide a safer bathing environment but also promote independent living. It's about giving back the dignity they deserve.
To accomplish this goal, we are hoping to raise $160,000.00 through our campaign. A portion of these funds will be allocated to this vital bathtub renovation project. The remainder of the funds will be used to purchase essential equipment within the Taber Health Centre in the upcoming year, where it is determined to be of the greatest need.

This great event has highlighted the work the foundation does in our communities and has raised significant funds to support those programs. Due to the Covid pandemic, we have not been able to host this event in 2020 or 2021. TDHF recognizes the vast impacts of the pandemic on the health of our hospital staff, frontline workers and our communities.
We know that times continue to be challenging, but there are still reasons to smile. We smile because throughout the years, existing equipment has been purchased by your generosity and used at the Taber Health Centre, and many other locations, to directly benefit patients and residents alike. New equipment is continuing to be purchased which continues to put a smile on a lot of people’s faces.
As Colleen, an OR Nurse explained when they used the new drill, “Dr, Storey did two surgeries with it. He liked it. The OR staff loved it. It was very slick. No more big tank and the hose taking up space. It makes our scrub table more efficient and easier to organize. The new drill is fast and does a great job. It is user friendly. The potential for new surgical procedures has also opened up thanks to this new drill. Dr. Storey has some ideas and is going to work on increasing surgeries. We sincerely thank the Taber Health Foundation for this equipment for the operating room. “
You made this happen by donating to the Taber & District Health Foundation. Your donations are far reaching and make a difference in the lives of residents in our communities. Please consider making a donation today.
