For the past 25 years, the TDHF has hosted an annual fall telethon. This great event has highlighted the work the foundation does in our communities and has raised significant funds to support those programs. Due to the Covid pandemic, we have not been able to host this event in 2020 or 2021. TDHF recognizes the vast impacts of the pandemic on the health of our hospital staff, frontline workers and our communities.
We know that times continue to be challenging, but there are still reasons to smile. We smile because throughout the years, existing equipment has been purchased by your generosity and used at the Taber Health Centre, and many other locations, to directly benefit patients and residents alike. New equipment is continuing to be purchased which continues to put a smile on a lot of people’s faces.
As Colleen, an OR Nurse explained when they used the new drill, “Dr, Storey did two surgeries with it. He liked it. The OR staff loved it. It was very slick. No more big tank and the hose taking up space. It makes our scrub table more efficient and easier to organize. The new drill is fast and does a great job. It is user friendly. The potential for new surgical procedures has also opened up thanks to this new drill. Dr. Storey has some ideas and is going to work on increasing surgeries. We sincerely thank the Taber Health Foundation for this equipment for the operating room. “
