Isabella Venter, a recent graduate from Vauxhall High School, has been awarded the Stewart Genes Scholarship for 2024. Currently, in her first year at the University of Alberta, Isabella is pursuing an Honors degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology. Her aspiration to attend medical school following her undergraduate studies is driven by her ambition to become either a neurosurgeon or an imaging specialist.
Isabella’s interest in neuroscience is deeply rooted in her fascination with the complexities of the brain. She is motivated by a powerful desire to help others and contribute positively to their lives. Her commitment to saving lives and ensuring individuals lead happy, healthy lives resonates strongly within her community. Isabella believes in the importance of providing comfort to families facing challenging situations, aiming to give more than she receives.
“I am honoured to receive this scholarship and would like to express my gratitude to my community for enabling me to pursue my dreams,” says Isabella.
